Birthday Hike 2013

My birthday has come and gone. We had a good weekend. Thursday was my actual birthday and we went to dinner and looked for Halloween decorations. We did have an adventure in the Target parking lot but now we can look back and laugh at it... sort of :) We did my birthday hike on Sunday. I love this tradition. I love that my boys look forward to my birthday. Calvin said to me " I love your birthday because we get to go on a hike!" That makes me feel good. We went on Sunday this year because it was rainy up until then. Because it was cold, there was actually snow on our hike. We haven't had that in the past eight years so it was a little different. The boys hiked great and it smelled so good on our hike. I love that crisp fall air. Calvin held my hand the whole way.  In primary that day he told me he was told to help others and he was going to help me hike. Love that little gentleman.

This picture is hillarious... we always snap the same picture every year to see how our family has grown. Take a good look at Simon. So typical Simon! He has his eyes crossed. The funny thing about this is that the camera is set up for 15 seconds so that Bryce can run back into the picture. Dont know how long Simon held that face! He cracks me up!
