Ok, So I said I wasnt crafty and I am not. But do you remember making these in elementary school? I love the family fun website. They have some cute, cheap, easy ideas for crafts for the kids. I let Calvin cut out some of his feathers and the head. Next thing I know I look up and Simon is cutting his hair. I caught him before he did any damage but there were little hairs all over my table. The boys are now running around the house saying "gobble, gobble"

Crafts... at least my kind:)
I am not a very crafty person. But I felt like the boys needed something to do inside. We went to Hobby Lobby (they had all their Christmas Craft stuff 50% off). I bought iron crayons. My mom would be proud. We used to use Iron Crayons when I was little. We drew their hands and feet. Bryce and I also wrote their names on the aprons. Bryce left out the "I" in Calvin and I didn't write Simon's name backwards:) So this is why I am not a crafty person. We had fun and the boys have been wearing their aprons around ever since. Fun Times
Bryce took the boys to the park the other day. I thought this picture was cute.

Goodbye Chelsee
Bryce's oldest niece Chelsee left to the MTC on Wednesday. She is heading out to Kiev, Ukraine. Calvin is excited to have another missionary to pray for. His prayers have been "please bless that Uncle James will go on another mission." James was the last missionary. He finally has a missionary to pray for:) Good luck Chelsee. We love you!

Snow
The boys were really excited to wake up to snow this morning. We threw their stuff on and they went out to play. Calvin had many demands... mom get the shovel! Mom get the sleds! Mom I need a snowboard (we will work on that one, maybe not this year)
Of Cousre, as soon as I come outside to take a picture the boys had snowballs ready to throw at me!
The boys beg Bryce to fill the tub with bubbles. What kid doesnt love bubbles?

Halloween 2011
The boys decided they wanted to be firefighters for Halloween this year. Calvin's has a friend whos dad is a firefighter. I thought about sewing them firefighter costumes but then realized that this was much more simple. Every year for Halloween I start out with a big plan and it gets more and more simple. I think the costumes turned out cute. Bryce and I were fire:) If you cant tell by the flames on our shirts.
We went to the Pumpkin Walk in Logan. It is a fun Cache Valley tradition. The boys loved the pumpkins that were "Calvin and Hobbes" and "Mickey Mouse"

Baby Shower for Laura
My little sister Laura came into town so we gave her a baby shower. She is due January 23rd (10 days after me). The week she was down, we I came down to Salt Lake with the kids. Laura and I shared a queen size bed. I think we had a total of 10 pillows to prop our baby bellies up during the night. It is fun being pregnant together.
Sad this is blurry because the shutter wasnt totally open but here are our big bellies! Baby girl on the left and baby boy on the right.
Our niece Annie made us each a quilt. So cute! Love her!
Abuela Haydee made Laura a cute baby sweater and blanket. Love her too!
Baggaley Girls! We are a cute bunch!

Soccer
Calvin played indoor soccer this past two months. I was lucky enough to coach his team "United." It was a ton of fun. Calvin was really good. He enjoyed it... when he was playing cowboys with the other team :). We also made him keep his hands in his pockets. He would push everyone who had the ball.
David, Cooper, Calvin, Kyla
Stretching before the game. Simon really wanted to be part of the team. We let him warm up with them.
I had an extra t-shirt for Simon. He always wanted to put it on... it was a little big on him:)
Every time we pass the Logan Temple Simon yells out "Logan Temple." It is one of those things I want to bottle and keep forever. So cute!

Birthday Hike
We did our annual birthday hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon for my birthday on Monday. As usual it was a fun adventure. We have done this hike as a tradition almost every year since 2004 (before we were married).
We started our hike on the trail to the waterfall and it turned out that the trail has been covered up by the forest service people (if thats what you call them). Trees had been cut down to cover up the trail. Well it fooled us:) We took a wrong turn and ended up bushwhacking it and climbing big rocks to get to the waterfall. It took us about two and a half hours to get to our destination. I was really proud of Calvin's hiking skills and Bryce for caring both boys through a lot of it.
We decided to try and take the trail back. It only took us ten minutes to get back to our car. That is how far we were off the trail on our way to the waterfall. I am really thankful I listened to Bryce because I thought we had to go the opposite way the whole time we were hiking. Bryce has a great sense of the outdoors:) Here are a few pictures.

Last of the Sun
This week we really have been trying to soak up the sun as much as possible. Later in the afternoon it is warm enough to play in the water. The water is a little cold but the boys still loved it. Calvin earned goggles (swim and summer stuff is really cheap right now). They loved the goggles and didn't even want to take them off for dinner.

I think that is cheese hanging from Calvin's mouth

The Parade
Whoo Whooo.... Honk Honk!! That is the sound of the fire engine the whole parade. Calvin and Simon are lucky enough to have a friend whos dad is a fireman. They called and asked if we wanted to ride in the firetruck for the River Heights Parade. Calvin and Simon had a blast! After the parade, we went to the park for the little fair. The rest of the night Calvin and Simon couldn't stop talking about the firetruck, the horses, and the train.

Just a Few Things
We have had a ton of fun this summer. We are renting a house in Logan but Bryce has been helping my brother build a house in Park City. So we have been at my parents and Bryce's parents every weekend.
We are now back in Logan and have been enjoying being up here. Here are a few random pictures of fun things we have done.
We have gone to the Logan Aquatic Center almost every day. My boys have turned into fish. Simon loves going down the slide with me. He keeps saying "fast, fast." The last few times he kept saying "self." He didnt want to go on my lap. He wanted to go by himself like Calvin does. He also loved to jump into the water and have me catch him. He kept saying "One more time" and hold up his finger.
Calvin has really turned into a fish. He can swim to me when I stand about 8 feet away. He loves it and wont let us leave when it is time to go... that is why we stay 4 hours every time we go. They let him go down the water slide by himself and the life guard catches him at the end.
Grandpa Huff and Simon
Some fun videos. Calvin is crazy. We watch Biking movies that our friend Kevin posts. He gets too many ideas from it. One day I caught him with Simon's bike on top of the couch jumping off. Simon has started lifting his front wheel up and saying "Back Flip." I really hope my kids live to see Elementary School ... at least!
