Marjorie Joy Huff

Marjorie Joy Huff was born on September 28, 2019. After a week of deciding to get induced we went for it. Bryce and I went in Saturday morning at 7:30 am. I was already having small contractions. They started the antibiotics for two hours. At noon they gave me pit and broke my water. I got the epidural soon after. After the epidural, I was lying there and my blood pressure started to go down. I started to see stars and feel like I was going to pass out. I kept trying to sit up but Bryce kept telling to lie back. The nurse came in and had me lay on my back and I started to do better. She was born at 4:11 pm weighing 7lbs 5 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. I didn't really even push she just came out. Which is why I wanted to get induced because I knew that as soon as I went into labor she would just fall out :) She came out with tons of black hair and tan skin. We love her so much.

James (Jimmy) Delos Huff

James Delos Huff was born October 3, 2017. Bryce and I both loved the name Jimmy but I really felt like Jimmy should be named after my grandpa James William Linton and James E Faust who was really good friends with my grandpa. They both went by Jim.
I woke up on October 3rd knowing I was having contractions. They would come and go. None of them were very hard. So we debated what to do. I finally called the doctor when they opened to see if I could come get checked. His nurse just told me to go to the hospital. So we dropped the boys off at Grandma and Grandpa Huffs.
We headed to the hospital. I was still having contractions but they were sporadic. Sometimes 20 minutes apart and some times 6 minutes. I didn't want to go into the hospital and have them send me home so we walked around the path that circles the Mckay Dee Hospital in Ogden. It was a beautiful day but it was a little chilly. We stopped at a pond. Finally we decided to go get something to eat. WE drove to a cafe. Bryce ran in and I had a really hard contraction while he went in. We went back to the hospital but the contractions stopped. We sat in the car in the parking lot for a while debating what to do. We walked around the hospital another time and sat on a bench. The contractions were totally gone. I started to cry and said lets just go home. We were finishing the walk and Bryce said lets just go in and check. Oh well if they send us home (I really believe there were angels watching over me and told me to go in). We went to the counter and the nurses looked at me. I said I was in labor and I had strep B. The nurses looked at me and laughed. They kept saying "well we have to send you home if you aren't to a 3." I didn't look like I was in labor. So the nurse took me back. Mind you I hadn't had a contraction for twenty minutes. They hooked me up  to the monitors. The nurse reminded me again. If you aren't at a 3 we have to send you home. She finally checked me and said in surprise " You are at an 8! Well a stretched 6! But your water looks it is just about to break." She ran and got another nurse to double check. The nurse came in and was also shocked I was at an 8. They hurried and called the anestiologist and gave me an epidural (they didn't want me to do it natural because I needed to get in as much antibiotics as possible because I had strep B). We waited about 3 hours and Jimmy was born.

Birthday Hike

We have been so busy lately with a new baby and Bryce is working everyday all day... That hopefully wont be the case too much longer. So for my birthday instead of going for a hike, we went to the beach in San Diego... a week late. It was also our 10 year anniversary. So we got a family picture at the beach. We had sooo much fun and it was so relaxing for me!

Caleb Thomas Huff and Happy Birthday Simon!

Wow the last nine months have been crazy, to say the least! A big part of that was being pregnant with another boy and moving to Arizona. Bryce and I decided to start another adventure by moving to Arizona to help start up a company. It has had its ups and downs but it for sure has been a learning experience and we are growing a lot. Bryce moved the day after Calvin finished his last day of 1st grade. He lived in Arizona and worked while I stayed in Utah with the kids. He went to make sure it was right for our family and to find a home we could rent out. (We are still renting our house in Kaysville because we are planning to move back in the near future). We finally decided to move the family down to AZ three weeks before I was due with our baby.
Moving was crazy. I packed almost the whole house myself (thankful for friends and family that helped with the kids and helped pack). Bryce came the day before and packed the truck. When we got to Arizona, he had to work the next day so I unpacked everything (In 115 degree weather, nine months pregnant). It kept me busy before the baby came.
I went to the doctor August 27th (my due date was September 3rd). He told me I was close and he could strip my membranes so that I would have the baby the next day. I told him no since it was Simon's birthday and I didnt want them to have the same birthday. Well so much for that, I woke up the next morning, August 28th, with contractions. We waited a little but realized we needed to get to the hospital. We sent Calvin and Simon to school and took the other boys to a neighbors and headed to the hospital. A mile away Bryce realized Milo would have to go out so he turned around to open the back door... I was not excited about that :). We also stopped at a gas station on the way because I hadn't eaten anything and I could feel my blood sugar dropping. We probably should have just hurried to the hospital.
We arrived at the hospital and they sat me down to take all my information. I told them I really needed to get into a room. They didnt care. Then they put me into a "Triage" room! What!?!?! Did I tell you I had the last two natural because they came too fast?!?! Finally they got me into a labor and delivery room. I kept telling them I wanted an epidural (I loved doing it natural but by this time with moving I was emotionally and physically week.) They rushed the antesiologist in and gave me an epidural. It was just in time to push. I pushed twice (he had to turn him). Caleb Thomas Huff was born at 10:20 AM at 7 lbs 15 oz 20.5 inches. Happy Birthday Simon! You have a little brother for your birthday... Needless to Say we didnt have a big party for Simon. I didn't even get pictures of him with his cake (a week late) but I did make a cake for him.

A Story about Simon and a Golf Club

This picture is right after he got the numbing shot. I am laughing because that is what I do in intense situations. I looked over while he was getting the shot and almost passed out. I don't do well with stuff like that.
At the doctors before he knew he had to get stitches
At my friends house right after it happened
The Next day... Swollen shut
These pictures are kind of out of order but you get the point. Simon had a run in with a golf club yesterday. A brother of his was swinging a golf club and Simon happened to walk by at the same time. We were at a friends house that has a putting green in her back yard. Seeing that it is January and 50 degrees outside. My boys were playing golf... yes it was a putting green and not a range! I will have to teach my boys how to golf :)

Happy Birthday Levi!

My Birthday Boy Levi turned 3 this year. I didn't get too many pictures that day because it was crazy but we sure had fun making cake together. (Don't tell anyone that I let him eat the batter and double dip)... there are no eggs in the batter, thats why I love wacky cake!
The last picture is of the Calvin reading to Simon and Levi. I keep telling Calvin that is why I taught him how to read :) I love it. They stay up almost every night, on their bunk bed, with their nightlight on reading all the books we have.

Happy Happy Birthday Hyrum Dear!

Happy Hyrum turned ONE!!! I cant believe he is already one. He started walking two weeks ago and now is running! He loves to throw the ball into the street and run after it. I have to keep my eye on him 24/7! He says Milo "Iya." He says mama and dada. He points to things and says "STH" whatever that means :) Such a cute kid.
We celebrated his birthday after young mens so all the Priests were there to sing happy birthday and eat cake and ice cream. The Donald Duck on the cake turned out cute but the lettering kind of is messy... but it tasted good. Thats what important:) At least Hyrum thought it tasted good.

Calvin Wakeboarding

Bryce had a friend invite us to go wakeboarding. I finally took pictures of Calvin. They are not the best of pictures but you get the point. He is now getting up and staying up. He can heal side but is working on toe (if thats what you call it). Cant wait until next season to see how he does.
