Pumpkins :)

We have had some fun Halloween fun lately. We had our annual pumpkin carving at Grandma and Grandpa Huffs. They use the pumpkins they have grown.
We also had our annual Halloween Party with all of Bryce's high school friends. This year it was at our house. We have had a ton of fun :)

Happy 4th Anniversary!!

Last week was our Anniversary. Bryce took me to Park City and we stayed at a condo for two days. Laura and Dan watched Calvin for one of the nights... Thanks Laura and Dan. Bryce's anniversary gift to me was allowing me to go shopping at the outlets while he watched Calvin and Simon. I was in desperate need of some new pants!
Well this weekend was my surprise gift to Bryce. He came home from work and I had tin foil dinners waiting to be taken up in the Mountains and cooked. So we all piled in the car and drove up Farmington Canyon. The whole way up Calvin would say "Mommy, Mountain" and if you know how Calvin talks he has to shout it. It was so much fun. Simon stayed in the car while we sat outside and ate and had hot chocolate. Happy Anniversary Bryce. We have had a wonderful 4 years and we will have many more to come :)

Loving Every Minute!

As I was putting this guy to sleep... I was wondering why it was taking Bryce so long to mow the lawn

and I found this :)

I love the gloves! Wants to be just like dad!

I had to show how wonderful my husband is. He gave me these beautiful flowers, a pair of Chaco flip flops and some running socks while I was in the hospital. I know random, but if you know me all the gifts fit me perfect! Thanks hon!

Simon Lowell Huff

This is me after the epidural. It is heaven!
This is why we are thankful for the epidural! The top red is the babys heart rate and the bottom is the contractions. This was about 3 a.m. The contractions are only a few minutes apart. I don't know how anyone does it natural!

Right after Simon was born.

Simon's bath from daddy. I thought this was a cute picture.

My boys! Calvin is still not sure about Simon. You ask him where the baby is and he still points to my tummy.

The Finished Product! Simon Lowell Huff
The Story:
Thursday night I began to have contractions. I stayed up all night timing them ( I couldnt sleep and Bryce was snoozing away) Finally around 6 a.m. they were every three minutes. We dropped Calvin off at Lea and Dales and headed to the hospital. They checked me in... dont worry, right when I sat down on the bed, my contractions began to fade. Thats right! They sent me home!
Bryce went to work while I stayed home and tried to sleep. My wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in-law took care of Calvin. I didn't sleep too much though because I still was having contractions every ten minutes. I called the doctor to see if I could come in and get checked. He checked me and said I was dialated to a whole 2! So not much more. He told me not to go into the hospital unless I couldn't talk through my contractions. Just what I want to hear.
Lea made Bryce and I dinner and we took Calvin home (mind you I am still having contractions every 8 minutes now) Bryce ran to the store to fill a perscription. While he was gone my contractions became horrible. I called him and told him to come home. Once again off to the hospital.
They checked us in and I got the epidural an hour later. I finally was able to relax after 24 hours of contractions.
Funny Part About the Epidural: Bryce fainted when he saw the fluid go into the needle. Yep, he fell down to the ground and woke up a few seconds later with the nurse, the needle person (anesthesiologist), and me looking over him.
By six in the morning I was pushing and 15 minutes later Simon Lowell Huff was born.
The experience was amazing! For those who don't know, I had a C-Section with Calvin. It still was an wonderful experience, but knowing that my body can do what it is supposed to was such a relief and powerful experience. My body natural went into labor and natural advanced. I didn't even need the "pit"(contraction enhancer). I loved every moment and am thankful for my wonderful husband who was with me every moment... even the epidural :)
(thanks also to Laura and Mom who took pictures after the birth)

Trek

The day before Bryce left for Trek and I left for California, Calvin decided to get into the Olive Oil and lather himself in it. I realize now how hard it is to clean up Olive Oil. I really debated leaving him with Trent. You just never know what is going on in his little mind.
These are the Company Captains at Trek. Dave, Tony, Bryce and Kevin. Bryce's mascot was Calvin's stick horse. Calvin wasnt very happy when he realized his horse was gone.
This is the Samari game Bryce loves. I haven't played it but supposedly it is really fun. Bryce said he had a ton of fun and it was worth all the meetings and stress.
I will post about California when I get the pictures from my sisters. We had a blast!

Mommy WoW... I'm a Big Kid Now!

Calvin has been learning and growing so much lately. He climbs on top of his car instead of inside it. He really is a monkey when it comes to climbing!

On his way up!

He all the sudden loves trains. I haven't had the opportunity to buy him one yet... so he came up with this. It is a pretty good train. He sings the song when he makes them "Train Coming Choo Choo" (my brothers and sisters understand :)

Bryce and I are both leaving this week. I am going to California with my mom and sisters and Bryce is going to Trek with our stake. Calvin wants to go with him but he is going to go stay with my brother and his cousin Brandon. Good luck Trent! Thanks!
