Finally A New Post!

Mmmm... What's for dinner? Calvin Loves to climb in the pots so I decided we would have Calvin stew for dinner.

We were so excited to buy Calvin a new snow outfit and take him sledding. All he wanted to do is lay down and eat the snow.

Doesn't Calvin look so excited to sled?

Calvin on Christmas

Shannon and I took Calvin and the dogs snowshoeing up by Snowbasin while Kevin and Bryce went with the Scouts to build snow caves. (He will have to post about that)

I dont know why but Calvin loves my hair dryer. I guess he decided it was dirty and needed a cleaning.

Sorry I havent posted for a while. Here are some random pictures of what we have done since the last post... ENJOY!

Pass the Pepper Please

I like a little spice in my life. We all know there are those people who before they even take a bite of their food will take the salt shaker and rain down those satisfying little white crystals over every inch of their plate. For me this doesnt make any sense.

Everytime I see this I think why ....... why start with the salt when pepper (and salsa) is really the secret ingredient to every dish.

The other day Melissa made some hamburger gravy and pasta for dinner. So before I even took a bite I grabbed the pepper shaker, went to give my food a good coating and I think the Blooper show was taping because this was the result. Now my daddy always taught me to take all i want eat all I take but I just couldn't muscle up to this one. So I scrapped off all the pepper I could, added some more gravy and cleaned my plate. It was still a bit more than I care for. Melissa wouldn't kiss me good night but I made my daddy proud. So just a little reminder to pay attention to the small things, like checking the lid to the pepper shaker because if we don't mind the small needful things our lives can get a little too spicy real quick.

Not the Sharpest Tool in the Shed

For those who know our dog, know we don't have the smartest dog in the world. He has a one track mind... BALL!!!! If there is a ball anywhere in the house, he can't focus on anything else. Well he has discovered a new kind of ball. a SNOWBALL!! If you throw the snowball into the snow... he will search high and low for that ball. Notice all the snow in our front yard has been covered in Milo tracks looking for his "snowball." If you also go to pick up snow... he thinks you are picking up his ball and jumps up and down and tries to get you to stop picking up his snowball. If any of you would like to have some fun... just come to our house on a snowy day. You will be entertained for hours!

The hockey game

We went to the Red Iguana and the hockey game with Bryce's friends and their wives. We had so much fun! I love that all of the wives get along. I don't think any of us could have told you the score of the game, but we could tell you anything about Halle and Calvin (the two babies). Thanks for the fun!

Arizona Again!!

Anne and Calvin in the Pool
Laura and I on the bike ride
Keller chilling in the pool in "McQueen"
Laura and I again on the bike ride.

So I went to Arizona again :) My mom, Laura, Lindsay, Keller, Mckay, Calvin and I piled in the car and took off. You may say that we are crazy to take 3 kids under 3 in a 14 hour drive to Tucson. Well we were. Going down was an adventure. We watched "Thomas Train" a FEW times. But thats ok. Whatever would keep Keller happy:)
We had so much fun when we arrived in Tuscon. We were all about just hanging out in the pool. Scott took Laura and I for a bike ride through the desert one morning. It was a ton of fun. It is very motivating to stay on your bike when you have cactus on either side of you.
We also went to the "Gaslight" theater again. I love that place!
It was a ton of fun to just hang out with all the girls! Thank you Janelle and Scott for letting us come down. We love you!!

3 Years and Counting!

Bryce and I have been married three years now!! Can you believe it? We decided to go to San Diego for our anniversary. We stopped at my friend Britney in St George and stayed the night. It was so much fun! We went on a hike with her and her kids before we left the next day (she was nine months pregnant and leaving me in the dust on the hike).
We arrived in San Diego on Thursday October 9th. Bryce's sister Heather was kind enough to let us come. We went to the San Diego Zoo the next day with Heather and her family. Calvin loved the Polar Bear, Elephants and the Giraffes. He kept pointing and saying "dah" I think he thinks everything is a dog. Bryce and I went to the beach that night to see the sunset and have dinner. It was so romantic. The following day was October 11th (our anniversary). Bryce and I went to the San Diego temple and then went to the beach where Bryce surfed and loved it! We were blessed enough to have Heather babysit for 5 hours! That is the longest that Calvin has been away from both of us. She is so wonderful!
Thank you Bethers and Bloomfields for letting us come. Thank you Bryce for Three wonderful years and many more to come :) Love you!

26 on the 26th

Someone told me that it was my "golden" birthday this year because I turned 26 on September 26. Interesting. We had an awesome day. Bryce stayed home from work :) He made me waffles in the morning and we had a picnic in Little Cottonwood Canyon. On our way to the hike, we stopped at my in-laws and Lea gave Calvin a banana. As we were driving, we heard little licking sounds. I turned around to find Calvin eating through the banana. He was a mess!
We hiked to a waterfall that we went to when we were dating. It brought back a lot of memories. We then went to my moms house where she made me stew for my birthday. It couldn't have been a better day. Thanks Bryce for the great birthday!

Money! Money! Money!

No matter how rich or poor we are... we all like to save a little money. My sister-in-law has taught me how to shop. I struggle when I get to the grocery store and see a sale. I don't know how good of a sale it is. My sister-in-law gave me a website to go to. http://pinchingyourpennies.com. I usually just go to the grocery guide, enter my zip code, and put in the grocery stores near me. It list all the sales in the grocery stores by order of how good the sale is. It only takes five minutes and you can save a lot at the grocery store. The website does more but thats all I have used it for so far. I hope this helps some of my friends to build up their food storage and save a little money. Love you all!

Goofy Dog!

We do have a bed for our dog. I guess it is just more comfortable to sleep next to the bed, on the hardwood floor, and on your back!

Labor Day Weekend

So this is a little late... but better late than never. Bryce, Calvin, Milo and I met Dan and Laura at the Uintahs for a fun night of camping. It was a blast (other than Calvin crying all night). We hiked into Haystack Lake and set up camp. It was dark by the time we got there. The next day we hiked up to a Lake just above us. Laura and I waited for Bryce and Dan to both catch fish. It took them both about 2 hours. We didn't mind though. We had fun just talking and getting splashed by Milo. As we were leaving Bryce told Laura to just give it a try. After throwing her line in 2 times, she caught a fish. Way to show the guys how to do it:) We had so much fun. Thanks Dan and Laura for coming with us and putting up with a screaming kid in the middle of the night. (We found out Calvin had Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease when we got back home. Poor Kid!)

10K

So Alecia Koon and I ran a 10k (her cousin Breane ran with us). I think I am starting to get addicted to running in races. They are great motivation! Alecia and I stayed together the whole time. It was a perfect pace :) We ended a little over 56 minutes. Our goal was to end it in less than an hour. I had so much fun. Thank you Bryce for supporting me and being there at the finish line. Love you tons!:)
